TETBURY & DISTRICT U3A ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Delayed Due to Covid-19
We were planning to have an AGM at The Goods Shed on 15th October 2020 starting at 10am followed by a talk on Chavenage House by Caroline Lowsley-Williams.
Very reluctantly, the Committee has to delay both our 15th October 2020 AGM and the planned talks for October and November. This is due to the most recent changes in UK Government Covid-19 restrictions and U3A National guidelines.
We were hoping, particularly after such a good response to our online website bookings for the October AGM and talk, to be able to get together at the Goods Shed under their umbrella which allows for up to sixty people. In the current circumstances, their advice has been changed.
We therefore have to come back to operating under U3A regulations as advised by National Office, upon whom we rely for insurance cover, which only allow for six people to meet. We plan to reinstate the AGM as soon as possible next year, subject to UK Government Covid-19 restrictions and U3A National guidelines.
We hope Caroline Lowsley-Williams will be able to talk to us in September or October 2021.
We know you understand the present difficulties and we are all very disappointed. However, we look to better times in the future and, in the meantime, Groups are getting together in whatever form possible observing social distancing and limited numbers.
Physical Distancing Continues
Please note plans for the AGM at the Goods Shed will change if Government guidelines change.
